Josh Mukhopadhyay is a fourth year graduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he is pursuing degrees in law and public policy. He is also enrolled in the School of Law’s Program in Public Interest Law and Policy.
He grew up in California and Washington and went to college at Yale, receiving degrees in Environmental Biology and Studies in the Environment. After graduating in 2001, Josh taught high school science in San Jose, CA through Teach for America.
Josh is interested in community economic development issues, specifically focusing on balancing low income communities’ need for education reform, environmental justice, job creation, affordable housing, transportation and infrastructure management, and health care services.
