Zoe M. Savitsky

Zoe M. Savitsky graduated Cum Laude from Harvard College with a degree in psychology. After college, she worked for the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama, as a juvenile justice researcher. During her time in Alabama, she worked with local partners and national organizations to reform the state's juvenile detention and incarceration systems and to improve care and representation for children across all stages of juvenile justice system involvement.
Zoe is currently a J.D. Candidate at the University of California, Berkeley. She is a member of Berkeley's Juvenile Hall Outreach, a program to teach incarcerated youth, and will be participating in Berkeley Law School's Expulsion Representation Clinic.
Her academic and professional interests center on strategies to constructively engage lawmakers and other key stakeholders in child services reform, with a focus on reinvesting in children and families by redirecting resources away from institutions of incarceration and towards strengthening and supporting communities.
